I am not a winding road, for my way has not been paved, nor am I a burning ball of fire, for I can be ice cold. I am not a whistling wind, for I am neither quiet nor subtle. I am not a piece of land, for there is nothing solid about my journey. A more fitting description - I am a tumbling Brook, for I can be peaceful and warm. I manage to roll about with ease carrying debris but am also capable of dropping it at any by-standing tributary. I’ve come across a few dams that have had the authority to restrict me, but once a fatal concoction of emotion builds to intensity, I have a tendency to violently burst at the seams flooding everything in my path. More often than not, I am fun to be around; I can lift your mood and sing to you inspiring songs, but just as there is a positive waiting to counteract every negative, I have a more nefarious personality hiding in the subtleties of my everyday endeavors.
